blazers cheer camp 2009 has been a success! thanks to all the committee members and anyone else who contributed towards the backstage work for making this camp so fun!
i must say that i'm amazed by how the team managed to bond so closely together during the past 2d1n. i made many new observations that i've previously overlooked during training.
the juniors learnt basket-toss and i did 2 quite bad extensions.
i can see that almost everyone had put in a lot of effort during stunts.
accidents are almost-bound to happen during training. hence, i have consistently been stressing on safety. we are advancing in the level of difficulty for our stunts. EVERYONE WATCHING THE STUNT HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF CATCHING THE FLYERS IF THEY FALL.
i admit and i know that i have made a few slips during the camp and hence, the flyer fell. that's why it's important that i find out what's wrong and correct the mistake so it won't happen again.
the team bonding games showed that everyone could communicate well with each other. it showed that we need teamwork to complete the game. likewise in cheer, everyone has to play their part. there shouldn't be people idling around doing nothing while on the mats.
moving on to the mini-stunt competition. which team won the competition isn't that important. what matters is that everyone had fun. even when we almost got evicted from the hall and we didn't get to finish preparing for the competition, we got on and displayed a ravishing performance.
everyone of you played a part for making this camp a fun and memorable one.
and more thanks to the people who helped out to wash and carry the equipment around. (:
