day1, monday
went for my cvm appointment at ttsh in the afternoon. everything was quite fast, so the process took less than an hour. however, i spent 40mins waiting for payment. hence, weiliang waited for 30mins for me at raffles place mrt.
we went together, and met jarred at pasar ris mrt. angela, celeste, davin, khairul and xianlong were already there when we reached. the bike rental was dumb. it was 1753 but the owner said it was six and closed.
took 3 to loyang point for dinner and got the remaining food stuffs we needed for the bbq. took prawns from shaowei after that.
and when we wanted to go e!hub in the night, it rained. sums up the first day.
day2, tuesday
celeste went to work, girls went to school, guys went pool, superdog and bowling. went back to the chalet to sleep after that. i don't really expect myself to sleep at 1pm even though i only had 2 hours of sleep the night before.
i was thinking about the bbq pits, and the chicken suddenly came to my head! haven't marinate. lucky weiliang and khairul woke up, so i enlisted their help.
richardseow came when we were downstairs. he told us that prelim results showed our class had passed everything. supervised the whole process and left after that.
honestly speaking, i was disappointed with the people who told me they're coming and mia themselves without telling me. seriously, you don't even have respect for me as your classmate or friend?
anyway, i almost bbq-ed my hp. and i swear that if i organise another chalet, i'll get LESSER food.
decided to cook ALL the chicken wings. finished around 10, which is early.
angela and weiling left before 11. celeste came back after that and left almost immediately. weiliang was like, wtf.
jarred, alan and russell left after that for a grand finale. for the first time in my chalet history, I DON'T HAVE TO SNATCH FOR A BED TO SLEEP. 4 people left, 4 beds. khairul, xianlong, weiliang and i have been declared last men standing.
had a heart-to-heart talk. don't see this often in guys. we were talking about the chalet and every individual including ourselves. weiliang told me that even though the chalet sucks, the last night was the best.
day3, wednesday
i usually get awaken by the phone ringing in the morning, but i didn't expect that it'll happen in the chalet also. 9am wake up call to remind you to checkout before 1030.
khairul went home after that. xianlong, weiliang and i took 89 to hougang central. went plaza to eat, and upstairs to pool after that.
cost
this section is for the curious people like weiliang who've been pestering me the whole time. to me, the money is not that important. but rather, the respect, commitment and integrity that you have.
income: $205 expenditure: $314.95 net loss: $109.95
this doesn't include the cab fare for the people who put in extra effort in helping out.
in conclusion,
the chalet was a failure. this i agree. there is a distinct gap between the guys and the girls, something that we discussed last night and i think it's confidential so it'll no be posted.
communication breakdown. the yuyi incident was an accident. other than that, there were barriers. same as discussed in the above point. guys too, we too formed our own groups. everyone had their corner in the chalet. what's the point?
giving some credit to xianlong and more to weiliang. they still came even though their sick. they had a choice, unlike me. whatever weiliang say you may think don't make sense, but he's really tried to get conversations going. still, it takes 2 hands to clap.
anyway, special thanks to weiling for i don't know what also. and the rest of the people who came. even if it's a day or just awhile, it's much appreciated.
these are the people who have my utmost respect. that's all i have to say.
