i went to smu this morning. was providing moral support for my mother, who
was participating in the brands soduku semi-final challenge. some 900 people
were split into 3 timings, 100 each. ours was at 10, meaning we had to reach
by 0915. took 851 there. no jam. reached early, collected the door gift, and
my mother proceeded into the conference hall. 0935. if she takes 30 mins, i've
55 mins to slack.
really tempted to take a walk along clarke quay, walk to the ferris wheel to
grab some photos. ended up sitting in a corner of the level 5 walkway reading
4 chapters of neil humphrey's final notes from the great island. strolled
back to the exits and waited. you wont be surprised to see contestants of
all ages, but you'll be when you see how young they can be. for example, i
saw a small boy which i thought could not be older than primary 6. and he
finished in 25 mins while my mother took 70. wtf.
for the first time, my mother said it was difficult. a 9x9 puzzle with the
middle cube completely blank. if that was me, i would have gave up. anyway,
it was a good try. at least you'll know the standard of the people around
you. i was to be treated delifrance at raffles city, but the shop wasnt there
anymore. well, you cant blame me. i havent been there after 22dec06. and i
didnt have a reason to.
the channel 55 korean drama smile again "zai ci wei xiao" ended today. 20
episodes shown over 10 weeks. and it was my first korean show which i started
to watch before my parents or sister did. hezhen ended up with danxi, like
they started with in the first episode. then again, it's a drama. it'll be
perfect if it could happen to me in reality. anyway, it was nice! gonna buy
dvd. (:
