i sat for my first ever term test paper in tp. arrangement was almost the same as olevels. venue was a 3-classroom joined tutorial room, sitting 76 candidates. i was number 69. pencil cases had to be transparent, calculator covers placed on the floor, handphones off-ed and kept in our bags, and our matric card on the top corner of the table.
slowly awaiting the commencement of the emaths1 paper. 8 compulsory questions from sections ab totalling 100 marks. the way they allocate the marks to the questions make you think many times before confirming your answer.
it was bad. didnt go as i wanted. through my 4-time revisions, the questions were simple, only to be tricky based. sad to say, i think i can only obtain a maximum of 40 marks. would be glad if i passed. if i say i was too nervous, i'd giving an excuse. :(
the 1 hour paper lasted from 1530-1630. bus stop was more packed than usual, because everyone appeared to end their papers at the same time. took the third 15 to pasar ris interchange, and took a train to dhoby ghaut. was meeting shiyuan at the cathay to watch the third instalment; pirates of the carribean: at world's end. by the time we reached and bought the tickets, it was six.
one think i noticed about cathay. their shows start quite punctually, unlike other places. maybe about 5-10 minutes late only. truly a 3 hour movie. well, almost. 1805-2050. for those who are planning to watch the show, you're advised to stop reading from here coz im going to spoil it.
cant remember how jack sparrow died in part 2. chow yun fatt's role in his line, "welcome to singapore" only lasted 30mins. he died.
tia dalma revived captain barbossa and the black pearl crew went to seach in the land of the dead for jack at worlds end. this was vertical waterfall which went down.. lord cutler beckett on the other hand, took control of the flying dutchman and davy jones' crew. elizabeth became the last pirate lord after "chow yun fatt assigned her before he died" and was voted as king of pirates.
the ending saw will turner killed by davy jones, jack sparrow stabbing the heart, and orlando bloom becoming the captain of the flying dutchman. as the saying goes, 10 years at sea, 1 day on shore.
after the credits, elizabeth was on shore with her son singing the pirates song 10 years later. turner came back with the ship for a day, before disappearing as the sun set down the horizon with a magnificant green light.
it wasn't as funny as i expected, but i'll give an overall 3.5 stars rating. (:
