chin hwee's phillips avenue farewell party ; Sunday, June 17, 2007 01:03
not many people would like the feeling of moving house, whatever the
reason.
chin hwee had to. in fact, he shifted days ago, and he's handling the keys
over next tues or wed. though the last time i went there was 2-3 years
during the chinese new year, there's still some feelings for it.
as in the invitation, it was to start at 2. met qiming and gerald at the
bus stop outside his place. it rained and i didnt carry an umbrella. was
drenched. secondary school has taught me that punctuality is something no
one really bothers about. the 3 of us reached 1410? and we were the first.
ch and june were out buying stuff. idled in his room until they came back.
fifa07-ed and ordered kfc whilst waiting. and we came to know that the
actual programme only starts after 7. i think eric came around 3. melvin
and cheryl came later. and that was the end of the secondary school friends.
ps2-ed and card-ed till evening. think it was 8. a lot to catch up also. the
last time i saw ch was before we took our olevel results more than 2 years
ago. he became slimmer! and fms is fun. can tell he enjoys his course a lot.

then his poly friends came. the 4 or 5 of them sat in the other corner of his
room. took over the ps and played winning 11. and it was dinner time. the
"potluck" became buffet. dont ask me why. it's the organiser. mingled around in
the hall area. found out there were many other people present, only that we
spent half our time in the room. ate a little, coz we weren't too hungry after
eating kfc. about 9. there was this farewell programme conducted by his second
brother. had singing by planned volunteers. photo taking in different groups
after that.
2215. the hall was to be cleared for 6 mahjong tables. we back upstairs to his
room. qiming and gerald played smackdown. eric came up awhile before going back
down. i was bored. ventured out of the room and found his dog there. forgot his
name. it's either max or sam. and it's cute. (:

gerald is always the spoiler. he had to leave early. partially me also, coz i
forgot to bring my house keys out. meaning i had to get home before everyone
sleeps. the 3 of us bid farewell and left at 2315. gerald took 156 home first.
qm accompanied me to the prata house just beside for supper. chocolate and
mixed fruit. plus my tea and his 2 plain. 6$.
and so as i wanted so much to walk home and enjoy the cold breeze, it had to
rain. cab-ed home. 6.9$. reached home 0010. so early! i had intended to stay
there till 1.
anyway, chin hwee's phillips avenue house did leave a lot of happy memories
with us. perhaps one day we would go back and look at the place. hope he can
adapt well to his new hougang avenue 8 flat. all the best! (:
